I just got a new iPad (A16). It is updated to the latest iPad OS 26.2.1. The Search function in the Settings app does not work. I just get basically an error message with no results. Is this a bug, or something unique to the latest iPad?
I’ve seen bugs in iPadOS 26.2.1 including in Settings, but that’s not one I’ve seen:

try restarting it

my ipad pro m2 settings search the same way as before and the same way as my iphone
Searching for Safari works here.
Safari itself can’t be removed, so remove and reload is not an option there.
Which leaves back up, reset, and restore.
Yeah, I should have thought of that myself. I did that, and did a search for several different apps. All went well EXCEPT for some really strange reason if I search for “Safari” nothing shows up but the “error message.”
Is no Search capability in Settings a bug?
