Recovering data from a lost phone

If you have previously enabled backups to iCloud, or by backing up to a Mac or PC, the backup can be restored.

But once an iPhone is lost or stolen or failed, no backups and no data transfers are available.

Not past what is already stored in iCloud, where iCloud features were enabled.

You cannot remotely retrieve any data that is only stored locally on a lost iPhone. Nor can you remotely enable automatic iCloud backups or iCloud synchronization on that phone if they were not already enabled.

Backups must be made before catastrophe occurs. Afterwards is generally too late.

Restore the data from your backup. If it was not backed up or synced to the cloud, your data is gone.

You have all of your data safe in the iCloud backups that you have made, or the backups that you have made on your computer.

You did make backups.......correct?
