Apple Studio screen turns black!

Recently, several times a week, the Apple Display has been going completely dark, forcing me to restart Mac Studio. The problem worsens if I leave the computer idle for extended periods. This issue started after the Tahoe upgrade. Any suggestions?

Mac Studio, macOS 26.2

<< swapped to another original thunderbolt cable. >>

ThunderBolt cables for use with such a high-resolution display are limited to

• the Apple pre-engineered 1 meter cable shipped in the box, or

• a certified (Thunderbolt logo on each end) Thunderbolt cable 0.5 meters maximum length

... for reliable operation.

Longer Thunderbolt cables can be had by purchasing an ACTIVE Thunderbolt cable, but they are much more expensive (staring at US$125).

Having similar issue for past couple of weeks. Studio Display goes black, thought randomly at first, now think may be when switching applications. Am using original thunderbolt cable & OS is current. Did all the usual troubleshooting (e.g., restart computer & display, unplug display 5 then 30mins, swapped to another original thunderbolt cable). Called Apple Support, then took everything to a Genius Bar appt where, of course, it worked fine! Diagnostics on computer & display found nothing. All seemed fine for a couple of days afterwards, then started going black again. From online suggestions, tried turning off Displays Have Separate Spaces & Stage Manager settings. At first thought that worked, but it didn't, although it happens a lot less than when these are on. Help!
