Screen Time history only shows current month

Hi there,

Is there a way to find last 4 months screen time history. Cause on time and use it just shows the current month, but I can’t go back? Is there another way to go further back in time?

Thanks!

When you turn off Screen Time on an iPhone, all previously recorded usage data (like app activity, pickups, and notifications) is erased. If you later turn Screen Time back on, it starts fresh and does not restore the old data. The only way to recover past Screen Time information is by restoring your iPhone from a backup that was made before you disabled Screen Time.

This design is intentional—Apple treats Screen Time data as temporary tracking information rather than permanent logs. It’s worth noting that this behavior is different from other iOS features like Health data or Photos, which persist even if you toggle them off.

If you have a backup then you can restore from it. Hope you are aware of the restoring process which will wipe out everything on your device with that of the backup.

If you are 100% sure that the backup that you are restoring has the data that you are looking for and are ready to wipe out your current data. Else take a current backup and archive it. Then restore.

How to create Multiple Backups for the same device.

  1. On iTunes Click on Manage Backups
  2. Right Click on a Backup and Click Archive
  3. Click Backup Now.
  4. You will see a fresh backup will get created See the GIF below
