Watch 10 - 4 problems - Fall, nightstand mode, timer, stability
Watch 10 problems.
I bought the Watch 10 when first released as an update to another (I've had several). This 10 keeps giving false fall detection alerts. I contacted Apple Support soon after purchase and was told it was a known issue that would be fixed with WatchOS updates. We are now on 26 and I'm still being asked whether I fell. It doesn't "learn". The Watch is not loose or any of the other suggested causes in other threads. So that is an ongoing annoyance.
Since getting WatchOS 26, I'm now getting more problems. I put this and previous Watches on their side on charge overnight. Normally, the screen would ping it is charging, show the time and go dark unless I tap the bedside table. This Watch now does that for a few days, then the screen stays on for 5 to 30 minutes before it goes off but then stays on. I have to restart the Watch to try and get it to behave. So that is problem 2
I've also noticed that timers seem to randomly drop. I may start one for 4 hours to time the next medicine dose. I can see it counting down but then it may not be active later. This is not me flicking my wrist or tapping fingers (yeah, like that works) at the zero count. Problem 3.
I also now get a new bugbear with 26. I can be sitting quietly watching TV or similar and the Watch will "tap" me and display the "add widgets" screen, as if I'd swiped up. I did not. I don't use Widgets so it is blank and I don't want any there. Maybe Apple does not like this choice. Problem 4.
I just wondered if anyone had any information. I know Apple don't read these. I'm tempted to trade it in for an 11 before I start twitching uncontrollably :D Anyone know if the 11 works as it is supposed to? The 10s seem to be bugged, cursed or otherwise do not "just work".
