After updating my Mac Book Pro (Apple M4 Pro) from Sequoia to Tahoe 26.2, my screen has started dimming after a few minutes' use while streaming in full screen mode (such as BBC iPlayer) on battery. This never happened before. I have disabled "automatically adjust brightness" in settings, and also disabled "Slightly dim the display on battery" but it doesn't help. Any tips on how to prevent this from happening?
Thanks! The Energy mode was on Automatic, but changing it to High Power seems to have helped!
(And, yes, touching the trackpad did revive the light on the screen when it had been dimmed.)
Not sure, but maybe this has to do with energy settings while on battery.
You may look at System Settings->Battery and see if changing the Energy Mode to either Automatic, or High Power, helps.
In any case, when it dims, you should need only touch the trackpad to revive it, no?
Changing the energy mode to High Power first seemed to help, but now (24 hours on) the problem is not only back but the screen now also dims when streaming full screen when the computer is connected to a charger.
