Books not loading in books app

Hi,

I am using a 6th Generation iPad with iPadOS 17.7.10. I haven’t used the books app for some time but recently I have tried to open my purchased books and I can’t access any of them. I have tried offloading the app and re-installing but still have no access. Can any kind soul suggest a reason why this happening and provide a solution please?
