I'm having a real tough time with the magnetic mask in trying to remove everything but the center figure with the baby.
Any tips on tricky magnetic masks, whether it being adding different masks or other effects, or doing things in steps to isolate that central figure. Or should I try multiple magnetic masks?
I am struggling with it.

My experience with it is that you are definitely better off breaking it off into separate parts than trying to do everything within one mask. So in doing that you'll be adding masks together. You want to make sure that if there are certain parts that are giving you problems, you isolate those on their own mask. You definitely are adding too many points if you're hitting 18-20. really try to aim for masks that use no more than 8-10.
Hitting analyze is not the best route every time. Sometimes it's best to analyze frame by frame and adjust as you go with either the add/sub points or with the roto brush.

Fantastsic reply. I went looking for the roto brush—think I could it on the far left with the plus and minus signs. Cool enough, but before I found them I found on the far right the dotted box within the light colored rectangle—wow, that was great. I futzed around with it a bit, now it's at least a 1000x easier working with the magnetic masks.

O no! How bizarre, I tried it on other clips, less white maybe and no problem boom boom boom. Tried it on my original clip—not so easy . Dang. I'm confounded
