Stage Lights in Macbook Pro 2022 Model

My 2022 M2 A2338 13 inch Macbook Pro, purchased in Pune India, developed issue of stage lights after 3 years of purchase. No repair options offered by authorised service agency and replacement cost is approximately 40% original cost of laptop thereby making it an expensive repair option. The issue of stage lights, as per the community posts, had occurred in earlier models and was supposed to have been resolved. As per the literature on the matter available on open source, the problem occurs due to a design flaw in the flex cables. It is unclear why I have to bear the burden of replacement cost for a design flaw that has existed in the earlier models of macbooks too. This erodes the confidence in making purchases from Apple. Does anyone face similar issue of stage lights- shadows appearing in the base of the screen or screen switching off when fully extended. Please post your comments so that the manufacturer and people are aware of this matter.

Getting your Money Back:

Well, having been through a faulty device myself, the only way I can say is that if it is "faulty"; and, as a customer, you need to be patient and cooperative, and patience. when troubleshooting this. Way back when during the days of COVID, my 2017 MacBook Pro's screen failed 11 times, all occurrences of which I had to perform troubleshooting with the Apple Reps via iPhone screensharing and send-in service (because local stores were only open for 4 hours, from what I recall). As a result, I was granted what is the equivalent of a $2.5K USD value upgrade, at the cost of no more than AppleCare+. Stage Lights played not part in that.
