Delete old Apple ID, no email access

I have an old Apple ID with an email I no longer have. (I also have a newer ID that I use now). I keep getting pop ups telling me to insert the id with the old email. Now I want to delete from my system the old ID so I can avoid the popups. Any idea how to do that? I can't just delete it without accessing it and I can't access it without using my old email. help?

Contact Apple. You will need to find a way to convince them you are not some trickster trying to do something mean to somebody by requesting their account be deleted.

This support article has various country telephone numbers for contacting Apple for support and service ➔ Contact Apple Support - Apple Support Scroll down to “Connect with live support”. If your country is not in the list, go to the “Other countries” entry at the end of the list. Not every country has telephone support, and phone numbers may only work when calling from the same country.

Where are you seeing the popup and what is it telling you. That may help determine where the old email is and your possibilities on removing the pop up. For example, if an app was downloaded from the App Store with the previous Apple Account, an automatic update to that app will require the Apple Account used to download it. In that case, you would need to remove the app and download it again using your new Apple Account.

If you are seeing this email at  > System Settings > [name on top] > Media & Purchases, that is the Apple Account used for purchases in the App Store and for purchasing media. If you need to remove the account from there, it may require resetting the Password if you do not know it, and you don't need access to the email account in order to use Account Recovery on the reset request.

Also if that is the account that is signed into your iCloud at  > System Settings > [name on top], then Account Recovery can also be used if the normal reset options will not work for you:
