Apple Watch dictation adds '!' to contact name

When I use dictation on my iphone 17 to send a text, if I mention a specific contact name it comes up as expected. If I use the same contact name in dictation on my Apple Watch 8, it adds an exclamation point at the end of the name. For example, “Sarah” comes up as “Sarah!”. I can’t figure out a way to turn off that text replacement on the watch. I do have a group chat with that contact’s name written as “Sarah!”. Any ideas? I have made sure text shortcuts on the phone make Sarah into Sarah, but I’m not sure how to fix it on the watch.
