Cannot set the Wallpaper on the Home Screen after updating to iOS 26.3

I cannot set the Wallpaper on the Home Screen after updating to iOS 26.3

The Lock screen Wallpaper stayed the same after updating to iOS26.3 but the Home Screen Wallpaper has gone black. In Settings, the both Wallpapers are displayed as they should be (i.e. not black in the Home Screen, but the correct one that was there before upgrading). I've tried switching the phone off and on again, same problem. I also, in Settings, re-entered new Wallpapers for both the Lock and Home Screens, and again the actual Home Screen is still black.

It's an iPhone 12 Mini.

Any suggestions?

I had the same issue. I had to create a new lock screen/Home Screen set. That worked

I circumvented the problem by choosing the "Pair" option for the Home Screen Wallpaper. This gives an acceptable colour of background but I wanted a very particular colour as set in the "Color" option.

I'm pretty sure this is a bug in the iOS26.3 upgrade. How do we report it to Apple?

(Of course, this might be a not-so-subtle hint that we should upgrade our 12/13 minis!)

report by using https://apple.com/feedback

Meanwhile try creating a new wallpaper from scratch.

Make sure you are not in Do Not Disturb mode, that would be normal behaviour.

به iOS26.3 به روز رسانی میشود مگر تصویر زمینه صفحه اصلی سیاه شده است. در تنظیمات، هر دو والپیپر طوریکه باید باشد نمایش داده میشوند (بطور مثال در صفحه اصلی سیاه نیست، مگر والپیپر درست که قبل از ارتقا وجود داشت). من تلاش کردم تا تیلفون را خاموش و دوباره روشن کنم، همان مشکل. من همچنان، در تنظیمات، تصاویر پس زمینه جدید را برای هر دو صفحه قفل و صفحه اصلی دوباره داخل کردم، و باز هم صفحه اصلی واقعی هنوز هم سیاه است.

To clarify, my Home Screen Wallpaper should be set to a Custom Colour (Red 103, Green 145 and Blue 198). I'm suspecting this may be the "problem" (but it worked under iOS 26.2 and earlier !)
