Asking to pay for Apple Music to listen to my iTunes purchases

I already pay for cloud storage for everything why do I have to pay to listen to things I purchased from iTunes long ago? I now have a message saying I have to pay $25 a year to listen to recordings I purchased long ago or sign up for Apple Music and pay for that. COME ON! That's ridiculous. I already pay for a huge amount of cloud storage.

How do I fix this it can't be right?

You do not need to pay for an Apple Music or iTunes Match subscription to manually sync purchased music from a Mac, or a Windows PC, to an iPhone or iPad. Or to re-download iTunes Store purchases directly on those devices.

The cloud music synchronization features (iTunes Match, Apple Music "Sync Library" do require paid subscriptions. They are not included as part of iCloud+ sttorage plans.
