Formatting Bar in Mail Blocks Subject Field (iOS Bug)

In iOS 26.3 (23D127) on an iPhone 17 Pro, with Display Zoom enabled in Settings, when you send an item from Facebook to the Apple Mail app, as soon as you tap into the ‘Subject’ field, the formatting bar pops up and completely blocks the Subject field from view, so you cannot see what you are typing. You then need to scroll up to expose the Subject field (above the formatting bar), and start typing again. This does not happen in the Standard view, when Display Zoom is not enabled.

Anyone else having this problem?

very widely reported here. Same on Phone keyboard in early versions 26.0

Report it to Apple https://apple.com/feedback

However display zoom with large text will need some compromises in this design

Yes, but they finally fixed the iPhone Phone app keyboard issue in more recent iOS versions, by re-formatting the screen so it fits the display properly in Display Zoom mode. Hopefully they will do the same with this issue in the Mail app.

I wasn’t taking a poll; just verifying if I was the only one having the issue, or if someone had a solution. That is the purpose of a forum… to start a discussion about issues. Once you start admonishing Apple users for taking the time to post an issue, you stifle people from posting here in the future. People don’t get any responses at all on the Apple Feedback website, but it’s still important to document bugs there too.
