Brightness randomly increases on iPhone 17 Pro Max

I’m having a problem with the brightness on my iPhone 17 Pro Max. Sometimes the screen brightness randomly increases, but the brightness slider doesn’t move. When I try to adjust the brightness manually, there’s a delay. Even if I pull the slider all the way down or up, the screen keeps getting brighter or darker on its own.

The only way to fix it is to lock my phone and then unlock it again. I’ve tried all the possible solutions, like turning off auto-brightness and changing several other settings, but the issue still happens.
