Does anyone know how to remove the Creator Studio icons/buttons from pages and numbers? The new purple square icon in iPadOS is stuck next to the format/paint brush button and appears non removable. The iPhone equivalent obstructs direct access to my own photos and related attachments. In each case it also make it difficult to find templates which aren’t part of Creator Studio.

You cannot remove Creator Studio icons in Pages, Numbers, or Keynote. On the Pages for i/Pad/OS Help menu, there is a means to send feedback to that product team about this issue. Otherwise, no Apple employees participate in these public, user-supported communities.
