I can’t delete any apps on my iPhone

I can’t delete any apps on my iPhone 12 even when content restrictions are off and the app isn’t a system app. I’ve tried to delete the app in “storage” but the button just wasn’t there, and I’ve also restarted my iPhone. What do I do, it had worked a couple days ago, have I been hacked?

iPhone 12, iOS 26

That doesn’t really sound like a hack. If you were hacked you’d see way weirder stuff than just not being able to delete apps. Sometimes Screen Time settings bug out even if restrictions look off, or there’s a profile installed that limits changes. Check Settings > General > VPN & Device Management and see if anything’s there.

You could also try signing out of your Apple ID and back in, or resetting all settings. If you’re still paranoid, you can scan with something like Certo AntiSpy just to rule out anything shady, but this feels more like an iOS glitch than malware.

Re: I can’t delete any apps on my iPhone:

Wondering whether the changes you made had time to come into effect where they are in use.

Wondering too, whether you are using the newest iOS26 update:

About iOS 26 Updates - Apple Support says iOS 26.3 is thelatest version

and "This update provides important bug fixes and security updates."

(Note: Reminder to back-up iPhone first if you choose to update)

Else if iOS is already up-to-date:

Try re-starting your iPhone again (often restores order if something is not working as expected).
