Applications as Safari, Chrome, Apple Mail and Apple TV now become unresponsive when e.g. starting to stream a video.
I already installed 26.3 again. No change.
I am looking for a fix.

Updating from an earlier version of macOS 26, or upgrading from macOS 15 Sequoia?
See if the problem is present when you boot in safe mode, which disables 3rd party extensions and performs some system cleanup.
Now everything works fine!
I have changes the Audio MIDI setting from the MacBook Air Speakers to the MMAudio Device.
All smooth now, no app goes into unresponsive anymore and I can also access Sound in System Settings..
Update from an earlier version of macOS 26.2.
I tried safe mode no difference in becoming unresponsive specifically when trying to stream video.
I found that I can not access Sound in System Settings.
The MacBook plays the start sound.
Apple Music icon only jumps in the dock the app does not even start and become unresponsive (show in the force quit view).
Upgraded to Mac OS 26.3 from 26.2, M4 MacBook Air this morning. Unresponsive applications.
