Keynote color picker freezing on screen

My new keynote 15.1 color picker freezes on screen and needs a restart to make it disappear. If I just close the app, it remains frozen on the desktop.

Strange, late 2013 iMac issue I've been using a 27-inch late 2013 iMac as a picture frame, running Powerpoint .ppsx slideshows as a kiosk for several years without a hitch. Using the max version of Catalina allowed for this Mac and the latest version of Powerpoint possible (last update allowed by Microsoft Autoupdate from 2022). With no (apparent) change to either the MacOS or to Powerpoint, about 2 weeks ago the slideshows will no longer run properly; the first slide loads but then the screen goes black within a fraction of a second. Neither the app or the Mac has crashed, it behaves as if the slide show is running, can quit out of the show back to the desktop. Same behavior with different shows, restarting the Mac doesn't make a difference. Any got an explanation or fix?

Mac screen fades and freezes when changing programs I am running 14.1.2 on a MacBook Pro and ever since the last update, now every single time I switch between programs or finder or apps (which might be hundreds of times a day), the screen fades out several shades and freezes for about 3 seconds before it comes back to life. It is driving me batty. I have tried shutting down and re-starting and that doesn't solve it. The IT people in my organisation have no clues as to what is causing it or how to fix it. Anyone else having similar issues or have solutions for a fix? Thanks

Restart in Safe Mode followed by a normal Restart and test.
