Honda Handsfree issue with Texting

I have a 2020 Honda Civic and just upgraded my iPhone from the 14 Pro Max to the 17Pro with IOS 26.3 and now I can't get text message notifications in my car anymore through the HandsFreeLink system.I receive a message "Your phone does not appear to support this function. Some phones may have an additional setting to enable this feature." I can make and receive calls just no texting.
