contains a variety of steps people took to "fix" this problem. In some instances, the Watch and Mac were inadvertently on different WiFi networks; in other cases, toggling off/on the setting to use the Watch to unlock the Mac (with a reboot before turning the setting back to "on") worked. Also, rechecking Bluetooth and Apple ID settings fixed it for others. One person noted that toggling off the fingerprint sensor setting and then on again fixed it. So many "fixes" in that thread, although many simply involved toggling settings off and then on. Some noted that it helped to reboot the Mac and/or the Watch before toggling a setting back on.
