How do I set a 'second choice default' card in Apple Pay?

You send a Feature Request to Apple here using the Feedback link:

With no second default choice, after double clicking the side button it will bring up the Default Card and you would swipe to choose another card. That can also be done after an Apple Pay transaction had been declined on the Default Card just by double clicking again and choosing another.

Those are the 2 choices.

There is no "second choice default".

You can only get one default.

Changing the stack order in the Wallet app and replacing the card at the front of the stack with a different one, will in fact change the default card to the new one.

You can confirm this by double tapping the sleep button after you make the chan ge to being up Apple Pay, and it should now show the newly set card.

If you do not want to use the default payment method you selected, please swipe down from top edge of screen. The other payment methods in your Wallet will appear and tap to select the card you wish to use.
