Mac Studio M2's LG monitor not waking from sleep

You can do what a lot of the users who have similar problems with coming out of sleep do:

1 - do not sleep the computer.

2 - set the System ➙ Energy ➙ Low Power Mode settings pane turn on the button "Prevent automatic sleeping when display is off'.

3 - in System ➙ Lock Screen settings pane set "Start Screen Saver when inactive" to whatever time you'd like.

4 - in System ➙ Settings ➙ Lock Screen settings pane set "Turn display off monitor when inactive for XX" to the time you want.

Unless you have several HDDs you don't need to sleep the computer as most all are totally solid state.

This has been reoported with some other monitors after 26.3. I had this issue using my Kuycon monitor. I have my Mac on at all times so I rebooted my Mac and now the issue is gone. After you tried a reboot?

Addendum: look in the System ➙ Lock Screen settings pane and set the "Turn off display when inactive" to whatever you'd like. I usually have it set to 2 hours. You can set it to never if so desired.

Recheck the connections between the LG monitor power brick and the monitor itself. A sufficiently loose connection will leave you with an inoperable display. I had this occur with my LG 32U880-B. Quick fix.

I suggest you not sleep your Mac but just have the screensaver start up and after a set number of minutes turn off with the Mac still on (not-sleeping).

Others have reported sleep issues with Silicon Macs and have ended up with not sleeping the Mac.

He's talking about the monitor, not the base unit

I know. I have an LG 32" 4K monitor on my Mini M4 and if I set that setting to any minutes after that time the monitor shuts off and I have to use the monitors remote to turn it back on.
