Phone call volume is extremely low

When I make phone calls, the volume is extremely low and it’s difficult to hear so I often have to put it on speaker or press my phone really hard into my ear to hear the person I’m talking too. I know I can adjust the volume while in a call and I already have it maxed out. And I’ve cleaned the speaker multiple times with small amounts of rubbing alcohol. My husband has the same type of phone and is having the same issue but his is worse.

While you're on a call, pressing the volume up button on your phone increases the call volume. Here's how it works and some tips to make sure it functions correctly:

  1. Ensure the Call is Active: The volume buttons adjust different audio levels depending on what you're doing. While on a call, they control the call volume, not the media or ringer volume.
  2. Steps to Adjust Call Volume:
    1. During a call, place the phone near your ear or use the speakerphone.
    2. Press the volume up button on the side of your phone to increase the call volume incrementally.
    3. Repeat until you reach a comfortable level.
  3. Additional Tips:
    1. If using a Bluetooth device, the volume controls may adjust the Bluetooth headset's volume instead of the phone's.
    2. If the call volume remains low despite this, ensure no debris blocks the earpiece speaker.
