Which Apple Watch are you using? My Photos Watch face still works:
Did you already force restart your watch?
To do that, press and hold the Digital Crown and the Side button together for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again.
Does the Watch face look the same when you check it in the "My Faces" gallery in the Watch app on your iPhone?
