How to resolve macOS crashes after macOS Tahoe 23.3 update?

panic(cpu 2 caller 0xfffffe00521e8c6c): Kernel data abort. at pc 0xfffffe0054e56704, lr 0x1cddfe0054e56470 (saved state: 0xfffffeb8501db400)

This started only after I installed the recent update from Tahoe 23.1 to Tahoe 23.3.

This is really frustrating as it's happening every now and then.

There could be a hardware degradation or failure. It could be triggered by random use or by intensive use, e.g. a MacOS upgrade is "intensive use" for a short time during the upgrade. It could be something as simple as a bad memory chip or something else.

If your Mac is still under warranty or AppleCare, any repair would be covered or they might provide you with a new/replacement computer. Make sure you have at least two independent backups before taking any Mac in for service.
