Vision Pro: Persistent visible dot (dead pixel?) in right eye pass-through
My VisionPro (with AppleCare+, and original VisionPro, not the M5 version recently released) has suddenly developed what appears to be a "dead pixel" in the right eye display.
It only seems to manifest when using the pass-through view, that is, a solid yellow-white pixel seems to be stuck "on" whenever I'm looking at the room around me, but, if I'm looking at a UI element within visionOS, everything appears normal. It's soft of down and to the left from the centre of my vision, so, quite distracting. This could also be some sort of a flaw with one of the cameras of course. Would explain why the dot appears to vanish when looking at something that's not being rendered through the camera or other sensors.
I've used a microfibres to clean everything, including the Zeiss lenses I have as inserts, and it's definitely not dust - it's in exactly the same place. Closing my left eye continues to display the dot, whilst closing my right eye makes it vanish - confirming the issue is bound to the right side somewhere.
Unfortunately, AppleCare+ doesn't seem to have a category for this, and there's no Apple Store immediately near me, so, making an appointment to take it in somewhere further afield will be frustrating.
Has anyone experienced anything like this on their device? I'm incredibly careful with it, and there are zero scratches or cracks or any sort of damage whatsoever. Whatever this is is electronic in the camera or display sensors somewhere.
Obviously, taking a screenshot doesn't help, it doesn't show up in one...
Thanks!
