I ask for help. I have an old iMac on which FCP was installed purchased from App. I see it in App Store purchases. I reinstalled El Capitan by formatting Hard Disk first. Now I can't reinstall FCP because it doesn't offer me the version compatible with El Capitan. Can someone help me? Thanks!

At some point last year, Apple changed its policy, and ceased to provide older versions of its applications.
It used to be that one would always be able to get the appropriate version for each OS, but, alas, that is no longer the case.
Do you happen to have a copy of Final Cut Pro in a backup? If not, you may have to try and find someone who can send one to you.

I could be wrong, but: I suppose these commands might help if something in the access to the app store was misbehaving; in this case, it seems to be a deliberate change of policy by Apple, so no dice.
THANKS. I also realised that there are few chances. Luckily I have the latest version in a recent Mac. On GPT chat I had also found this suggestion to type on Terminal but I haven't tried it yet.
You're right. I agree. Of course it's not a good thing. If I didn't have a new Mac with the latest version of FCP I would no longer be able to use a sw that I regularly bought.
