Re-loading ITunes to my IPhone

There is no iTunes app on an iPhone so nothing for the Music app to delete. iPhones have had the Music App since iOS 5 came out in 2011 where it replaced the iPod App. There has never been an actual iTunes App on iPhone.

Are you perhaps referring to the iTunes Store app?

If it somehow got deleted, it can be redownloaded from the App Store App.

I have an IPhone 16pro and had a IPhone 13 with music that was paid for and some downloaded from CD's. It existed on my IPhone 16 until I signed up for the free 3 months of Apple Music.

That music existed in the Music App on the iPhone 13, and it should still exist in that same app on the iPhone 16.

This is were you need to be very clear. Did the music get wiped from the iPhone, or from the iTunes Applicatioon on the Windows PC?

Subscribing to the Apple music service (free trial) just makes that option avaiable in the existing Music App. It should not have wiped yor music or affected it in any way on the iPhone. Specially if you have not actually turned on the Sync Library option on the iPhone's Music App settings.

The music still exists on my Windows PC. I would like a program, that I may have been mis-calling ITunes, whereby I can download music from my PC to my IPhone. My IPhone currently has no music downloaded.

On the Windows PC that program was called iTunes yes. But when you downloaded the Music App to the Windows PC, it would have limited the iTunes application features, including showing your music and copying it to the iPhone. It did not wipe out your music it just showing your library in the Music App on the Windows PC now.

The iTunes Application and the Music app are 2 separater apps on the Windows PC.

With the Apple Music app downloaded on the Windows PC, you need to also download the Apple Devices Application to the Windows PC, to copy or sync Music to the iPhone.

Alternatively as mentioned, you can simply uninstall the Apple Music app on the Windows PC to get the existing iTunes Application on the Windows PC back to full functionality. You can still access your 3 months free of the Apple Music subscription service in the iTunes application if you want to.

You seem to be misunderstanding.

You don't download the 3 months free. You simply accept it and it subscribes you to the service. There is no download involved of anything whatsoever.

Your music in the Music App on the iPhone should have remained untouched and should be accessible in the Library tab of the Music App on the iPhone.

Again, there is no iTunes App, there never has been an iTunes app on an iPhone. Your music has always been stored in the Apple Music App.

The 3 months free, just gives you access to the Apple Music subscription service catalog.

If you downloaded the Music App on a Windows PC, then it replaces the iTunes Application, and prevents the iTunes Application from showing your music library. But this has nothing to do with your iPhone at all.

You can either access your music library in the new Music App on your Windows PC, it should have automatically imported it to itself, or uninstall the Music App entirely and the iTunes Application should then recover its ability to manage your music library. You would just need to select the Music section from the top dropdown after you completely uninstall the Music App. You need to uninstall the Music App entirely to recover full use of the iTunes Application.

On an iPhone, the app that would let you pay to download songs would be the iTunes Store app. (The iPhone has no ability to import music directly from CDs.)

On a Mac running Mojave or earlier, the iTunes application would be where you could import music from CDs, buy downloaded music from the iTunes Store, and load either type of music onto an iPhone. I believe that the iTunes for Windows application offered at least some of those functions for Windows PCs.

With the breakup of the Mac’s iTunes application (in Catalina), and the replacement of iTunes for Windows with Apple Devices for Windows, the functions of the old Mac & Windows iTunes applications are now in different places.

There is no iTunes App on the iPhone. There is an iTunes Store app, and there is an iTunes Remote app, but there is no plain iTunes app.

On Macs running versions of macOS prior to Catalina, there was an iTunes application. Apple broke up its functions and got rid of it when Catalina came out.

Try doing two manual synchronizations of your phone with your PC. The first, with no music selected, to wipe all music files off your phone. The second, with the music that you want from your Windows PC selected, to reload the phone.

Whether you use Tunes for Windows or Apple Devices on the PC (I’m not familiar with either), it is the Music app on the iPhone that will let you play the music once there.

There is nothing complex abot your question. Its just starting from a incorrect assumption.

The fact is there has never been an iTunes App on iPhone. Not entirely sure what you are seeing on your wife's iPhone, but it is not an iTunes app.

The Music app holds your music on your iPhone, it always has.

Whe can try to identify what happened to your music if you start by looking in the current Music App on your iPhone, and if you explain exaclty on what device this is all about.

You started saying this was about an iPhone, but then you changed to a Windows PC.

Maybe what you mean is, you no longer have a way of transferring music from the Windows PC to the iPhone, and that would be true, if you downloaded the Music App on the Windows PC, but have not yet downloaded the Devices App to the Windows PC.

But as I said, you can uninstall the Music App on the Windows PC, and return iTunes on the Windows PC to full functionality and the ability to sync music to the iPhone.

Syncing music to the Phone is different from having an iTunes application on your iPhone.

If you still want help, we can try to provide it, but expecting sometihng to exist that never has is not they way to do this.

If you explain clealry what the issue is and on what device the issue exists, we may be able to help you.

I suspect that what happened was that when the OP had the Apple Music subscription, Sync Library was turned on. Apple "encourages" you to do this in the UI, both overtly, and by not letting you have offline listening copies, or playlists containing subscription songs, if you refuse to do so. (You can still stream subscription songs as long as you select particular songs or albums, or one of Apple's pre-made playlists; and have an Internet connection.)

Then Apple Music replaced the Music on the iPhone 16 with "Sync Library" copies of what was on the Windows PC. (Guessing that when there purchased copies of a song existed both on the iPhone 16 and the Windows PC, the PC was chosen to be the "master" and the iPhone was chosen for the "Sync Library" treatment.)

Then when the Apple Music subscription ended, those "Sync Library" copies were deleted or stopped working, explaining why the OP's purchased music that "existed on [the OP's] IPhone 16 until [the OP] signed up for the free 3 months of Apple Music" was wiped from the iPhone 16 afterward.

The music still exists on my Windows PC.

When you had the Apple Music subscription, by any chance, were you using the “Sync Library” feature? If so, when the subscription ended, copies of songs synchronized in that way might have stopped working.
