How to disable podcast transcripts

How can I disable the podcast transcripts feature? It does get in the way, popping in without my doing anything, and getting in the way of other podcast app controls that I want to use. Also, l listen to podcasts without ever reading them. About a year ago, there was a similar post to this one, and it had over 300 me too endorsements by community members, but never an answer, and it was eventually removed by the system. I am trying again, hoping that something has changed within the past year.

Answering my own question, which I may have just figured out, it looks like there is a show/hide button on the lower left of a playing podcast screen. The show/hide button is designed as a conversation bubble with quotation marks in the center of the bubble. I am not yet sure if this button works in all circumstances with all podcasts. I do not know if this show/hide button is new to the app or not.
