Re: “how do i upgrade from ventura to tahoe”
If your MacBook Air has an Apple Silicon (M-series) processor, back it up, then upgrade using Software Update. All Apple Silicon MacBook Airs to date can run Tahoe.
If your MacBook Air has an Intel processor, you cannot upgrade it to Tahoe. Even the final Intel-based MacBook Air did not make the cut.
A 2018 or 2019 MacBook Air can be upgraded from Ventura to Sonoma, and an Intel-based 2020 MacBook Air can be upgraded from Ventura to Sonoma or Sequoia. For these upgrades, you can back up your Mac, then search for “macOS Sonoma” or “macOS Sequoia” in the App Store.
Back up your data, check the application compatibility table, click here, and if your MacBook Air is an Apple Silicon model, then on the download link for it.

Why? almost all of those comments are specific to the person that posted them and are not a big deal for the vast majority of users.

forums are not really such a good indicator, people who have no issues rarely write in support forums about their joy.
