Pages not retaining photo adjustments

Photos in Pages not retaining adjustments

Pages both Creator Studio and regular (updated to current): Exposure setting changes bounce back to original as soon as I let up on the adjustment bar. The percentage shows the change, but the actual photo on screen and in print show original. This has been happening, but for some reason, I was able to do a few today but then it reverted and the next pics screwed up again.

I have: imported from photos media in Pages as heic and jpeg, I have dragged from Photos ,I have exported from Photos to a file and then dragged;

I have restarted to clear caches, I have 24 gigs memory, Running Tahoe 26.3 on a Mini M2, run zip third-party stuff, have been using Macs since "86. Aggghhhh Help!

Strange. I have Pages v15.1.1 on Tahoe 26.3 and I cannot reproduce your rubber-band slider effect in image adjustments. Mine stay right where I set them on a camera raw iPhone 17 Pro Max taken DNG and JPG images.

What third-party applications are running when you are making these image adjustments? Any Anti-virus or so-called "Mac Cleaner" applications installed?

I suggest that you shutdown your Mac. Then perform a cold boot to Safe Boot mode. Then launch Pages v15.1.1 and open the same document. Make new adjustments to the image. Do the adjustments stay where you set them?

Reboot your Mac normally and retry your image adjustments again. If the adjustments remain fixed after you set them, then you have banished a gremlin. If they persist, and you are running anything asked in the second paragraph, I would entirely uninstall that class of third-party application, reboot the Mac, and try image adjustments again.

Safe boot did not help, and my bad I was running Duck Duck Go for browser so I uninstalled and tried again, to no avail. Since I do not want to add these particular pics to my own Photo Library, (this is a project for somone else) my workaround is to set up a temporary Photo Library and adjust there. Sheesh.

Thank you for answering O Level 10! Absolutely no third party apps. Checked extensions. Not nutty enough to run the "cleaner" apps, (used TechTools in the old days several os ago). On to Safe Boot now.

To clarify, masking works, Exposure, saturation settings do not.
