New iPhone user facing Apple Account password issues

my son (age 35) just purchased an Iphone 17 pro max, and created a new Apple ID and password, Every time he has tried to sign in to his apple account, it will not accept the password. So he goes through the change password process, being very precise (going on 15 times now) it doesn't work. This is everytime he gets a new app. Does anyone have any idea?
