How to remove 'Page 1 of 1' from Pages document on iPhone?

How do I prevent "Page 1 of 1", as shown in the screenshot, from appearing on my iPhone 13 Mini (iOS 26.3), in a Pages document (v15.1.1). I believe I have gone through all the options and just can't seem to find it.

Thanks!

My answer has been found!

My daughter and her family were over for dinner today. When I brought up my issue with Pages, my 18yo grandson asked if he could look at the app. Within just a couple of minutes he fould the solution. It had nothing to do with the footer at all and wasn't really a part of the document itself. He discovered that if you go into "View Options" and deselect "Navigator", that "Page 1 of 1" goes away! Problem Solved!

Re: iPhone 13 mini, iOS 26 " ... prevent “Page 1of 1” from appearing

"You can add page numbers to your document that automatically adjust as pages are added or deleted ... "

Apple support's article (link below) gives the steps to set-up page numbers :

you can prevent page numbers by turning them off in the same way

So sorry that didn't work for you. I may have been wrong.

Or you may be working with a particular template that is set up that way.

(ie: "fixed" unless you make template changes, or create a new template that suits.
