How to get security updates without upgrading iOS?
I have not updated to iOS 26 yet and I’m still on iOS 18.2 or 3 but I would like to get the latest security updates without having to update the full iOS version what are my options please
Update to iOS 26, or wait until iOS 27 comes out and update to it (if it is compatible with your phone).
Apple no longer allows you to update to a later release of iOS 18 if your iPhone is capable of running iOS 26. If you remain on iOS 18.2 or 18.3 past next January, iMessages and FaceTime will break because you won’t have a version of iOS with the fix.
