contactsd process causing high CPU usage, throttling, and battery drain. HELP!

Periodically (every few hours), Contactsd will start hogging the CPU and causing my fan to go on. (MacBook Pro 202). I had this turned off but the latest release has caused the problem to start happening again. This problem has been reported again and again for over 4 years. It kills my productivity because the heat triggers the fan and then my machine throttles everything but ContactsD is still killing my battery in the background.

What can I do to fix this? It's so ridiculous. Can someone help with this?
