Mac mini: Wi-Fi not prioritizing over Ethernet

Why my Ethernet network route priority always higher than Wifi.

I have order the network service, put wifi at first place, as below:

However, when I connect both network, Ethernet default route is always in first place, and I connect ethernet via wifi.(Ethernet port connect to intranet network), route table as below:

➜ ~ netstat -rn -f inet|head -n 6

Routing tables

Internet:

Destination Gateway Flags Netif Expire

default 172.152.102.254 UGScg en0

default 172.24.203.254 UGScIg en8

My question is: why set up network service order didn't work on my MAC? and how to solve my issue?

Thanks.

My device is mac mini M4. and OS is 26.2.

Thanks for your reply, I need to connect both wifi and ethernet, wifi port connect to internet, and ethernet port used for intranet network.

Macs make rotten routers.

This’ll give you a start, though it’s dated:

Mistakes here can be nasty too, as the Mac is more exposed than usual.

I’d hook the internet into the same LAN, and not try to use the Mac as a router.
