I have an iPhone 8 Plus and my friend has an android. My phone won’t let me send messages to her or call her, really it won’t let me call anyone unless I have their number. She tried texting me on messages and I tried…nothing. But she also went from Apple to android. I don’t know what to do or how to fix it. If you know how please tell me!
If you go from an Apple phone to a non-Apple phone you may need to Deregister from iMessage.

If you are trying to message your friend using the Apple Account they had previously, it will not work and you will need to use their phone number. If that friend is in your Contacts, remove the Apple Account associated with them, so there is only the number to use for Messages.

Have they deregistered their number from iMessage? If not that number is still associated with the Apple Account and will fail when you attempt to send them a message using iMessage. If you turned iMessage off, it would probably work, but that is not the solution as they are going to have the same trouble for anyone attempting to send them a message from an Apple device.
Yea that might work but I already deleted their contact days ago. And when I try to message her it won’t send it will just say “not delivered try again”, when I press try again it doesn’t work. do you know how to fix that?
