Permanently stop iMessage spam texts

I don't know if there is a good way of stopping it permanently. Once spammers get hold of your phone number or your email address, they tend to spam you relentlessly.

If you are up for a drastic solution, you could try using Screen Time to allow messages from "Contacts Only" – or from "Contacts & Groups with at Least One Contact." But that could block legitimate messages if someone you wanted to hear from wasn't in in your Contacts.
