How to insert a line break in a Numbers cell

How do you enter a line break when typing text within a cell on Numbers? The User Guide says, "Tap Insert, then tap Tab or Line Break." Where is Line Break?

It's here:

Getting "here" is fiddly, though.

What worked for me was:

  1. Position cursor so it's blinking in the cell where you want the line break (will need one tap, a pause, and a second tap)
  2. Tap once more so the format bar appears near the cell
  3. Tap the right "arrow" on the right end of the bar
  4. Tap Insert and you should see similar to my screenshot.

If you have a keyboard attached to the iPad this is easier: position the cursor where you want the brake and type option-return.
