I have an older Mac mini running 10.15.5 and am trying to update it to the lastest version(can’t remember which version now)it can run and it fails. I restart and it tries again and again and failed and won’t let me boot back to the current OS. Is there a way to get it out of this update that is failing to just a working machine?

Actually I ended up just reinstalling Catalina and that broke the cycle of trying to install Monterey, which I didn’t discover until this morning, it was late.
Currently trying to install Monterey again. I’ll keep you posted.
Monterey is installed, not sure what the issue was the other way.
btw, the Mac mini is an old I5
