Mac Mini Stuck In Perpetual Update and Fail

I have an older Mac mini running 10.15.5 and am trying to update it to the lastest version(can’t remember which version now)it can run and it fails. I restart and it tries again and again and failed and won’t let me boot back to the current OS. Is there a way to get it out of this update that is failing to just a working machine?

.. Assuming you have backed up using Time Machine then please do the following:

  1. Restart in the Recovery Partition
  2. Open Disk Utility
  3. Format the internal storage, remember this will completely erase all data!!!!
  4. Exit Disk Utility
  5. Download Mac OS and let it install.
  6. Restore from your Time Machine backup

BTW if you installed ANY third party Antivirus or Cleaning apps that is likely the problem. IN that case uninstalll as they are:

  1. Totally worthless and do nothing Mac OS cannot do natively.
  2. Make your system unstable, act buggy and prevent updates from occurring.
