iTunes Mac: View purchased songs as a list for playlists

Hi,

I recently purchased songs from iTunes and wanted to make a playlist of them but when I tapped on it from the left margin, it only showed the albums where the songs are located. Even then, when I opened the album all the songs appeared (some songs which I purchased a long time ago that I don't want on my new playlist).

I purchased my MacBook several years ago long before Apple Music came about and I clearly remember the songs I just purchased showing up in a list format (the same view as the library of all my songs). I checked my settings to see if I can change it to list songs and not albums but I can't find it in the drop down.

I embrace change and improvement but sometimes these updates change things that I don't know how to set the settings to my preferences.
