iOS 26 keyboard issues

iOS 26 has introduced widespread keyboard issues, including significant autocorrect errors, lag, missed characters, and incorrect letter registration. Every text and typed input is containing errors… this took 12 min!

If iOS 26 had the ability to cause such keyboard issues, it would do it to everyone. It didn't. What iPhone model do you own? What you've described sounds like a failing digitizer, which is your iPhone screen.


It would be advisable to schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar and have your phone tested.

Report this to Apple...

So, do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about this issue.  Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come. Apple will know nothing of you occurrences, if you don't report it to them.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
  2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: that this all began after installing an update. Include the URL of this thread.
  4. Proceed from there as necessary
