How do I turn on tracking for my iPhone when it says I'm under 16?

Can’t turn on tracking because it says I am under 16 even though I was born 2007 and now that it’s 2026 there should be no issues. It says I have safety controls on but I never turned them on and I know my parents didn’t either when I was younger because they don’t know how to.

Yes all the info is correct. I’ve already turned off restrictions that could be the problem and I’ve never had a screen time limit if that’s what you mean because when I check it there is nothing else to “get rid of”. I don’t understand how my parents can manage it because they never have before.

You DO NOT want to allow apps to track your data usage to send you adverts, surely??
You only need to worry if you can't turn tracking off.

I'm not sure why anyone would want to do that, either. However, it seems that some games require it. While I wouldn't use any app that required it, I suppose it's not for me to judge the choices of others in this matter.

It is off and I have no plans to turn it on, but I would like to at least have that choice instead of it being completely disabled. Apparently there was something wrong with my account in apple’s system so I’m now getting that fixed and I honestly wouldn’t have known without the tracking thing so it has one good use.
