AirTag cover won't turn to change battery

Ensure your hands are clean - and free of any moisturisers. Hold the AirTag firmly between the palms of your hands, then rotate your palms anti-clockwise in relation to each-other - to twist and unlatch the battery cover.

If necessary, to improve friction, wear talc-free surgical rubber gloves.

AirTags are designed to be child-resistant (i.e. difficult to open) to avoid the possibility of the CR2032 battery being swallowed by a child. As you have discovered, "child resistance" sometimes equates to "adult proof".

Considerable palm pressure may be required to allow the cover to rotate.
