Got my iPhone 17 pro max and it is going on day 3 of being in sos mode

Thank means it hasn’t been set up with your carrier. Contact them to install an eSIM. It will be in SOS forever unless you do.
SOS means the iPhone is working, but it isn’t connected to an account with a mobile carrier.
