Find My stopped working

Thank you! Fixed my wife showing up as Location not Found! Been through a bunch of checklists and none of them mentioned

Settings -> Privacy and Security -> Location Services, System Services -> Share My was turned off. Turned it on and she started showing up for the entire family!

Your location not showing in Find My usually means the phone can’t provide or send its GPS data.

Key settings to double check and re‑enable location sharing;

• Open Settings ➡️ Privacy & Security ➡️ Location Services ➡️ Ensure that this is set to ON
• Open Settings ➡️ Privacy & Security ➡️ Location Services ➡️ Find My ➡️ While Using the App + Precise Location is set to ON
• Open Settings ➡️ Apple ID ➡️ Find My ➡️ Find My iPhone ➡️ Ensure that this is set to ON
• Open Settings ➡️ Apple ID ➡️ Find My ➡️ Share My Location ➡️ Ensure that his is set to ON

Network and system checks for you to make sure as follows:

• Make sure Wi‑Fi or cellular data is active; Find My cannot update location offline.
• Turn Airplane Mode OFF.
• Restart the iPhone.
• Go to Settings ➡️ General ➡️ Date & Time ➡️ Ensure that Set Automatically is set to ON (incorrect time breaks Find My).

Go to settings, privacy and security, location services, down to system services, make sure find my AND share my are turned on, fixed our two. Good luck.

Find My Not Working:

Tried all of this? Be certain you are using the correct Apple Account. There might be a Cellular outage. If just using WiFi, note that it can take a few days to get spot on in extreme, rural areas. So, using a computer or tablet, what do you see when you go here: icloud.com/find on WiFi?

By chance, do you have a VPN installed on your iPhone, whether it is used or not?

Find MY Issues:

A. Sharing your Locations:

If you are using separate Apple Accounts, then be certain sharing locations is an option: Share your location in Find My on iPhone - Apple Support. As a side note, I would recommend that you each keep to your own Apple Accounts, rather than one alone, to avoid lockouts, loss of data.

B. New iCloud Session:

Sign out of iCloud and then sign back in.

C. Check iCloud, Directly:

D. iOS26.6 is a Prep for iOS27:

Speaking with Apple Support the other day, I was informed that iOS26.6 is made in preparation for iOS27, which will be made ideal for AI purposes. So, maybe wait month (or so), and see if iOS27 fixes this.

E. Reset All Network Settings to Default:

Example of items that will be reset: (Wi-Fi Passwords, VPN Connections, etc)

1. Go To: Settings
2. Tap: General
3. Tap: Reset
4. Tap: Reset Network Settings.
5. Enter: [Your Passcode]

Be certain Find My is set up correctly.

3. Use: Locate a Device in Find My on iPhone - Apple Support

Do you have the iPhone with you and you are testing things out.....or.....is the iPhone missing and you are trying to locate it?

If the case is discharged, it can't play a sound. In that situation, you'll have to look for the case the old fashioned, with your eyes way.

A few months ago my sister’s location disappeared in my Find My and just keeps spinning. I see everyone else’s location but hers.

I removed her and added her back - didn’t work. She deleted me and did a complete shutdown of her iphone.

She added me back to her Find My and it her location still keeps spinning on my iPhone.

She is on Wifi

She did complete shutdown of her phone

we both removed each other from Find My.

I have also completed the full shutdown process of my iPhone

We have both added each other back on Find my

She can see me but I can’t see her it just spins.

i can see everyone else but her

WHAT THE HECK IS HAPPENING?

Same issue with my wifes phone. Route share works like a charm, but not find my. We have tried all of the settings and gone to multiple sources (apple stores, geeks etc) who have all failed!

Help! My wife and I consider this an important feature because she has vision issues.

Find My Not Working:

What's the models of your iPhones? Be certain they can support the most-recent non-beta iOS version(as of this reply): iOS26.6. Go to: Settings > General > About. Beta versions can have bugs, and the only way to uninstall it, is to reset your iPhone to Factory Settings.
