How to fully rotate Sidecar display to portrait on iPad Pro?

Hello all,

I’m using Sidecar with an M4 iPad Pro 13-inch as a second display. I’m running macOS Tahoe 26.3 on my Mac.

I’d like Safari to display in portrait mode on the iPad.

I did manage to get the display into portrait orientation briefly, however the bottom portion of the iPad screen wasn’t being used (around the lower quarter appeared blank / inactive).

In System Settings > Displays, I selected the iPad display but can’t see a rotation option. I’ve also tried disconnecting and reconnecting Sidecar.

Is there a correct way to rotate the Sidecar display fully into portrait so the whole screen is used?

Thanks in advance.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 26.3
