iPhone 16 Pro Max not charging after iOS Update 26.3

Since installing latest iOS update 26.3 my charger is not working, my Apple charger isn’t working. No charges are working. Is anybody else having this issue? And does anybody know how to fix it? There’s 1% on my phone now as I didn’t notice it wasn’t charging.

It was replaced just after Christmas, due to a similar issue… not impressed, as it’s practically a new phone.

Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

  • Press and quickly release Volume UP button
  • Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
  • Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).

If the above does not resolve the charging issue, then:

  • Leave it on the charger for 20–30 minutes after the Forced Restart (above).
  • Try a different cable/adapter, even Apple‑branded ones.
  • Try wireless charging — it often still works when wired charging fails.
  • Check the charging port for lint and clear it if needed.

If it still won’t charge after these steps, then it’s almost certainly a hardware-level charging controller failure, and you will have to get the iPhone serviced at the Apple Store or at an Authorized Service Center.

Has wireless charging worked at all, or is the phone completely unresponsive when placed on a charging pad?
