How can I remove a virus from my IPhone 8+?

I was trying to download a mp3 on my phone in safari, but then I kept getting pop-up’s that are very inappropriate then my phone said that my phone got infected by all of those pop up’s. So how do I remove the Infection?

There is no possible way a virus could exist on an Apple device.

A website does not have the ability to "scan" your Apple device. The only thing they can do is identify what device is accessing their website.

The good news is you can relax, you don’t have a virus.

Your phone does not have a virus.

The "pop up" was a scam message that was trying to trick you into buying software to fix an issue that never existed in the first place.

By the way, the website that you were viewing at the time was paid by the scammers to have the "virus message" appear on the site, so you might want to think about using that same site in the future.

Websites cannot run virus scans.

Virus scans are deeply intrusive activities, requiring access that even native apps for iPhone don’t have and can’t get.

If a website could run a virus scan, they wouldn’t bother with the subterfuge, and with what amounts to a scam advertisement.

They’d just pillage everything directly.

This is probably an advertisement for an add-on VPN apps, and these VPN apps are some oft-unnecessary and problematic apps, and (ironically) a VPN app won’t even remotely solve the problem the advertisement (falsely) claimed you had.
